Silver Appleyard ducks are a large-sized, heavy breed duck. They are great ducks for exhibition, pets, meat, and eggs. The Silver Appleyard is a pretty chill duck. They are great foragers and great egg layers. They lay large white eggs - perfect for cooking and baking.
We have been working with Silver Appleyard ducks for several years now and we love them so much! They are so striking out in the yard and they have great presence. We gets lots of compliments on their sheer size and gorgeous iridescence. This is a relatively rare duck breed - especially true Appleyard bred to the APA Standard - Appleyard ducks are listed as threatened by the Livestock Conservancy.
